A layer of red bricks formed a ‘red carpet’ across the steps, leading towards an abandoned house. Usually a symbol of glamour and welcome, here the carpet guides visitors into emptiness. The work contrasts celebration with neglect, exposing how cultural gestures can mask decaya and absence.
